Member of the Bundestag Max Mordhorst visits the GründerCube at the University of Lübeck and Technische Hochschule Lübeck

Lübeck, August 7, 2024 – Member of the Bundestag and FDP politician Max Mordhorst was a guest at the GründerCube and gained an impression of the vibrant start-up scene on the Lübeck campus.
The background to this political visit was to strengthen cooperation and exchange between science, politics and business.

He was accompanied by Prof. Gabriele Gillessen-Kaesbach, Acting President of the University, Anna Lena Paape, Managing Director of Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck GmbH and Head of the GründerCube, and start-up consultant Alexander Brühl.

During the visit, the MP was given an insight into the innovation projects and support programs for start-ups through the GründerCube.
In order to provide start-up teams with the best possible support for their projects, the GründerCube offers a multi-layered program of courses, lectures, workshops and personal advice.
For example, two central offers are the 5-day Ideas Sprint for developing initial prototypes and the 10-week Gründungskontor for drawing up business plans and individual preparation for market entry.

Various start-up teams then presented their business concepts to Max Mordhorst.
Among them:

  • Metadine: Paul Beier M.Sc.
    and Daniel Preuschoff M.Sc.
presented their start-up, which uses advanced algorithms to analyze food.
Metadine offers data-based solutions for the nutrition and health industry and develops personalized nutrition concepts.
  • Hanselaser: Prof. Dr. Kai Seger and Blendi Blakaj B.SC.
demonstrated in the laboratory the possibilities of a new frequency-stabilized laser they have developed for measuring pollutants and gases.
  • Ammy.ai: Dr. rer.
    nat.
Alexander Hackel and his team combine artificial intelligence with cell-based analyses to improve the quality of life of Long Covid sufferers.
The platform offers personalized health monitoring and tailored treatment recommendations.

FDP politician Max Mordhorst was impressed by the innovative technologies and was particularly interested in the technical details and biological context of the projects.
He spoke to the founders about possible political support and asked them about their wishes for politics.
One major concern of the participating start-ups: smarter and faster application processes and less bureaucracy.
